Hard Miles Running Club was born out of struggle — not speed.
After serving in the United States Marine Corps, I came home carrying more than just the weight of a pack. The transition back to civilian life wasn’t clean or simple. The structure was gone, the mission unclear, and the noise in my head didn’t fade when the uniform came off.
I wasn’t looking for a hobby — I was searching for something that made sense again.
That’s when I found running.
At first, it was just movement. A way to burn off the static. But mile after mile, something shifted. The pavement became therapy. The rhythm of my breath became a reset. The pain in my legs made the pain in my mind quiet down, even if only for a while.
Running gave me purpose again. It reminded me that discipline, grit, and struggle can still build something good.
Hard Miles Running Club isn’t about medals, PRs, or perfect form. It’s about showing up — especially when it’s hard. It’s for anyone fighting silent battles, pushing through the dark miles, and choosing to keep going when quitting would be easier.
Every step is earned.
Every mile is therapy.
Every run is a reminder: you’re still in the fight.
Earned in sweat.
